Super Technos World: River City & Arcade Classics release date

According to Arc System Works’ announcement, Super Technos World: River City & Arcade Classics is coming to PC, Switch and PS5 on April 24, 2025.

Most of these games will be three to four decades old at the time of release but should be a ton of fun regardless, especially if you are enjoying them on handheld devices.

List of games in the collection

There is a total of 12 games in Super Technos World, including:

3. Kunio’s Dodgeball Time, C’mon Guys!
4. Downtown River City Baseball Story
5. Kunio’s Oden
6. XAIN’D SLEENA
7. China Gate
8. Shadow Force
9. THE COMBATRIBES (Arcade, 1990)
10. THE COMBATRIBES (SNES, 1992)
11. Sugoro Quest++ DICENICS
12. DunQuest

Most of the games feature up to 2-player multiplayer, with the following exceptions:

• DunQuest is singleplayer
• The Combatribes (1990) is up to 3 players
• Sugoro Quest+++ is up to 4 players

Additionally, Sugoro Quest+++ is in Japanese only, without English localization.

System requirements

You will need at least 6 GB of disk space, no SSD required. Curiously enough, 10 GB is recommended. Additionally, DirectX 11 will suffice.

• RAM 4 GB RAM
• GPU: NVIDIA® GeForce® GTX 750(2GB VRAM)
• Storage: 6 GB available space

Recommended:

• CPU: Intel® Core™ i7-6700
• RAM: 16 GB RAM
• GPU: NVIDIA® GeForce® GTX 1060(6GB VRAM)
• Storage: 10 GB available space

While a rig with these specs is unlikely to bankrupt anyone, they still seem a bit too high for 30-40 year old games, especially when emulators seem to be better optimized.
