Milepost Zero update size

Fallout 76 will soon take up less space on PC, PS, and Xbox. When players go to download the Milepost Zero update, they’ll realize that the update is larger than expected. This unexpected increase in size is due to the fact that everyone will be re-downloading the complete game.

See; to decrease the amount of space Fallout 76 currently takes up on our machines, we’ll re-download the whole kit (kaboodle included!) and the platforms will take care of the rest themselves. You DO NOT need UNINSTALL THE GAME – unless you’re not playing it anymore – for these changes to take effect.

Legendary crafting and cores discount

Legendary crafting – new and improved, now gives the players more direct control over the Legendary mods that pop up on their Legendary items. In other words, it lets you change out Legendary mods on your gear.

This can be done one of two ways:

• Trading for the mod with another player.
• Scrapping Legendary items with your desired mod on it.

Scrapping Legendary items will come with a chance to get some Legendary Mods in the form of a crafting item. On top of this, there’s also going to be a chance you learn how to craft one of the mods on the item you scrapped – PERMANENTLY.

The Legendary mods you don’t end up using can be traded with other players but adding them onto an item makes them character-bound, so pay attention.

Attaching a mod to a legendary item can be done on your Armor or Weapons workbench – in exchange for Legendary Scrip.

Note: Every time you replace a mod on an item, the cost for subsequent replacements will go up.

The geeks who learn how to craft a mod can practice their newly acquired skills on the Tinker’s workbench. The cost of crafting will vary based on the modification.

You can only craft mods if you have enough Legendary Modules and various other items so get sniffing around the Wasteland, and keep in mind that the Legendary Mod restrictions on weapons have taken a chill pill and become very relaxed. Let your imagination be your North star.

A PSA:
Legendary Cores will be discontinued as soon as the Milepost Zero hits the live servers, and they will not be usable anymore. Luckily, after downloading the patch, any remaining Legendary Cores will be converted into Legendary Scrip at a 1:1 conversion ratio.
