Intro and release date

Dragon Age: The Veilguard is set to release on Halloween, October 31, 2024.

This much was supposed to be revealed by EA and BioWare later today but they let the cat out of the bag too soon via release date trailer, which was quickly caught by the internet’s watchful eyes.

About The Veilguard

Dragon Age 2 might end up dethroned as the most polarizing game of the series since The Veilguard is speedrunning the attempts to discard everything that made the franchise great.

One step further into the action RPG direction, players will no longer be able to take control of party members other than the protagonist because apparently they wouldn’t be able to handle that many actions per minute. If only there existed a system that would allow us to pause the time tactically.

Furthermore, dark fantasy no longer seems to be a theme in the game and is more used like a buzzword in hopes of drawing in longtime fans and blood magic won’t be available to the player, even though we’re visiting the Tevinter empire, where people are quite enthusiastic about it. Apparently, it is too dirty for the protagonist in EA and BioWare’s corporate eyes. Meanwhile, Larian just took home another award one year after their game with Dark Urge took the world by storm.

Still, some people seem to be excited by The Veilguard so time will tell if there are any redeeming qualities for the Marvel-esque cast in Minrathous.
