Intro

Unawake caught the eye of many video game fans as soon as it was announced in late 2022 and while the progress seems to have been steady in the following two years, not many showcases happened to keep the hype up.

It appears as the devs might ramp up the news stream soon, however, as the game previously showcased an impressive facial animations system, which features Nvidia technology.

Unawake and facial animations

Since the game is in first person, you will not get to see your own character’s face all that much, especially because of the imposing helmet that seems to be ever-present. On the other hand, the game is story-driven so the players will interact with NPCs who will make good use of the Audio2Face technology.

Originally, the Audio2Face technology video popped up months ago but it was briefly featured in Jensen Huang’s keynote in Taiwan. The footage was taken from the video above and you don’t have to scroll through two hours of presentations that may or may not be of interest to you.
