Intro
Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 was easily the biggest game during Skulls 2024 and it did not disappoint. With a grand total of 2 minutes for the trailer, the game has excited PvE and PvP fans alike.
PvE modes
Besides the regular campaign that everyone is itching to sink their chainswords into, there is plenty of good stuff the devs have in store for us.
First, there is the option to go for the 3-player narrative campaign and second, there is a specific mention of 3-player co-op missions. These are called Operations and it seems they are designed for replayability and unlocking things for your Space Marine. It is the best of both worlds.
6v6 PvP
Fan-favorite Eternal War mode will make a return in Space Marine 2, pitting Astartes against one another and against their heretical brethren, the Chaos Space Marines.
These showdowns unfold in a 6v6 format but further details were not announced. It could go the way of PvP from the first game or some new features could pop up. We will know more soon. After all, Space Marine 2 is slated for release on September 5, 2024. However, it is September 9 if you don’t pay extra.
