Intro
I made this guide with mouse as an example but it works for other Logitech device as well.
Logitech G Hub is one of the most reviled pieces of software on planet Earth because it is completely counter-intuitive and forces “features” that degrade the user’s experience.
One such feature is the profile switching every time you launch a new game which causes your mouse’s DPI and hotkey settings to abandon whatever you assigned them to. Here are 2 ways to stop this from happening
Persistent profile
For most of the cases, a persistent profile will be enough to never see trouble from profile switching again.
To assign a persistent profile, open Logitech G Hub and if Onboard Memory is turned on, click on the image to the bottom right of your mouse’s picture to disable it. Then click the drop down menu in the top right corner.

Click on “Manage Profiles” at the bottom of the menu. In this part of the UI, you will see all the profiles you have. Click on “Details” below the profile you wish to use.

Now click on the blue button that says “Set as persistent”.

When this is done, this profile will remain in use through different games and programs. Only a handful of exceptions will still force their own profile, which brings us to the second method, which may have to be used alongside the persistent profile.
Delete custom profiles
Going back to the “Manage profiles” screen (open Logitech G Hub -> drop down menu -> Manage profiles), you will see a list of custom profiles automatically created by entering a game.
For the purposes of demonstration I created a profile named “Delete test profile” but they will usually be named after the game that created them, like Mass Effect: Andromeda, for example.
Under the profile you want to stop forcing itself into your settings, click “Details”

In the new screen, click the gray button that says “Delete”.

And you’re done. Unfortunately, there is currently no way to prevent games from creating profiles upon installation for the moment so you will have to do this every time one starts bugging you.
