Warner Bros. and Rocksteady may not be happy by the early reviews of Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League but the game will have post-launch support for at least a year.
Seasonal model
It will adopt the overused seasonal model where the launch state is internally known as “Season 0”.
Each season will have two Episodes. In essence, Rocksteady replaced the word “update” with “Episode” while “Season” serves as a descriptor for the current update theme.
Season 0 will mark the game’s launch and Episode 1 will be the default campaign.
New characters each season
One new playable character will become available each Season, starting with Season 1.
- Season 1 – Joker
- Season 2 – Mr. Freeze (or other ice-related character)
- Season 3 – Lawless
- Season 4 – Deathstroke
Mr. Freeze was not mentioned by name in Miller Ross’ tweet chain that revealed all the info, only a freezing emoji. This could mean Killer Frost or Captain Cold, who are more closely connected to Suicide Squad.
Other Arkham characters’ appearance
When asked about other important characters that appeared in Arkham games, Ross replied they come up and have additional appearances in post-launch content.
Justice League members will have a role to play from Season 2 onwards, besides being the quasi antagonists in Season 0.
