It’s a new week, and a newly-free game is available on Epic Games Store. This week, we have the rouge-lite strategy title, Warpips, and Far Cry 6’s free trial weekend. Coming next week will be Duskers, the indie simulation strategy that brings to mind Nostromo and its doomed crew.

Warpips is, in the developers’ own words: what “would happen if Command and Conquer and Nexus Wars had a baby made out of tanks and napalm”.

Skirmish Mode Games did away with the micromanagement that bogs down similar games and focused on delivering fun, physics-based combat that’s easy to get into but difficult to master.

Its randomly-generated battles will take the players 10-20 minutes to either win or lose, so the time investment is low and perfect for someone just looking to have a quick break in between their daily tasks.

Far Cry 6’s trial weekend has also kicked off today, 16 February 2023. The streets of Yara will welcome everyone interested to see what’s all the fuss about the Castillo family and the revolution.

Players can join the revolution for free until 20 February. After that, their progress will be saved, and wait for them if they ever decide to buy the game and pick up playing where they left off. Far Cry 6’s Standard Edition is currently 70% off on EGS.

Duskers will go free on 23 February 2023. The simulation strategy game has its players exploring the world via their drones’ motion sensors. The ability to adapt will also play a huge role if you want to find out what happened to your ship.
