No, you don’t need to purchase the Battle Pass to have a good time.

It’s the dawn of the third Season in Overwatch 2 and the free-to-play sequel will look and feel a bit different than the previous season.

Overwatch 2 Season 3 start date

Overwatch 2, Season 3 will kick off today, 7 February 2023, at 7:00 pm CEST. Seasons in Overwatch 2 go on for around 2 months, so you’ll have 8 weeks to play the game and collect the available Battle Pass rewards.

Free rewards in Overwatch 2, Season 3

Season 3 will bring some free rewards, including:

  • The first 5 Battle Pass reward tiers will be given away for free if you log in during the new season’s inaugural week
  • 10 bonus Battle Pass tiers
  • 1500 Overwatch Credits (plus 500 if you purchase the Battle Pass).
  • 4 earnable skins
  • A gold medal weapon charm – the log-in reward between 7 and 20 February in honor of the Overwatch World Cup
  • A Cupid Hanzo Player icon – the log-in reward for the Valentine’s Day event
  • One-Punch Man Legendary skin – the collaboration will bring several themed items to the game. The Legendary skin will be earnable via themed challenges.

Overwatch 2 Valentine’s Day event and Loverwatch Dating Sim

Loverwatch Dating Sim details

The Loverwatch Dating Sim event will become available on 13 February 2023, and go on until 28 February.

The Loverwatch Dating Sim experience will be a text-based adventure where players choose between two potential dating paths: Mercy or Genji, with Cupid (Hanzo) as the ultimate wingman.

Loverwatch is a non-canon game, only available via the web client.

Players who unlock the secret ending will receive a themed POTG highlight.

Ultimate Valentine’s event 

In addition to the web-based dating sim, Overwatch 2 players will also be able to experience Valentine’s day in-game.

The Ultimate Valentine’s event will kick off on Valentine’s day (14 February) with a Hanzo 4v4 Limited Time Mode and Support-themed challenges. The Ultimate Valentine’s event will end on 28 February.

Players can earn two epic skins by taking part in Overwatch 2’s Valentine’s day event.

One-Punch Man collab

Lovers of the hero shooter and fans of Japanese Anime will surely be delighted to see One-Punch Man IP in Overwatch. There will reportedly be a bunch of One-Punch Man skins and cosmetics available in Overwatch 2, including Doomfist’s Saitama skin.

One-Punch Man collab will be available between 7 March and 6 April 2023.

All items from the collab will be revealed prior to the event. Among them will be an earnable Legendary skin.

The return of the PachiMarchi

One of our favorite Overwatch events, PachiMarchi is coming back with a new limited-time Kill Confirmed game mode, and rewards, including an epic skin, six PachiMarchi player icons, a weapon charm, and a name card.

Players can claim a PachiMarchi Roadhog player icon by logging in and an Epic Pachimari Roadhog skin is available if you complete themed challenges before the event comes to a close.

The PachiMarchi event will go live on 21 March and end on 4 April 2023.
