See you at the next milestone.

Hazelight Studios’ critically-acclaimed action-adventure game about rekindling lost flames, It Takes Two, has surpassed the all-important 10 million copies sold milestone. The studio shared the happy news on Twitter, along with a gif of May and Cody having their minds blown.

Hazelight’s tweet brought a smile to many fans’ faces but also pointed to one important piece of information: It Takes Two may have sold 10 million copies, but that means at least 20 million players got to enjoy its wonderful characters, platforming, puzzles, and story.

It Takes Two was, after all, designed with split-screen coop multiplayer mode in mind, and, as the name suggests, one can’t fix a relationship on their own.

It Takes Two was released in March 2021 for PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S, and arrived to Switch in November 2022. This was, of course, a time when most people were looking for new forms of entertainment but also to reconnect with their loved ones after a grueling period of global insecurity and lockdowns.

The game has received widespread critical acclaim, with many reviewers praising its creative and innovative approach to cooperative gaming.

With its charming storyline, memorable characters, and innovative gameplay, it’s no wonder that “It Takes Two” has become a hit with players around the world.

We can’t wait for more happy news about It Takes Two, and the upcoming film adaptation, with Dwayne Johnson, Dany Garcia, and Hiram Garcia attached as producers.
