Ubisoft may have canceled a bunch of games in the last month but we now know at least one has survived the axe.

According to The Crew 2’s official Twitter account, a sequel is going to be announced today, 31 January 2023 at 5pm UTC (9am PST / 6pm BST, and February 1 at 4am AEST). The tweet that spilled the beans was sent out as a reply to SidWaj’s official prediction that the game will be announced sometime this year.

This sudden spike in activity around The Crew 3 may be attributed to a dataminer who shared that codename Project Orlando was actually The Crew Motorfest, mere days before the announcement. We are confident that Script’s tweet and screenshot were legit for two reasons: the screenshot was struck with a copyright claim and Project Orlando has long been suspected of concealing a racing game.

Even though Ubisoft’s open-world racing experience was never a smash hit with the critics, the players must sing a different tune. This is purely based on the fact that Ubisoft still rolls out regular patches and seasonal events, with S7E2 that took the players over the Rockies in their hypercars becoming available on 18 January 2023.
