Attack of the indies.
Indie publishing label HOOK just announced that they are sending no less than two playable demos to this year’s Steam Next Fest.
Demos for the Lovecraftian platformer Madshot: Road to Madness, and the cute, isometric The Magical Mixture Mill are already available for download. You can expect between 30 and 60 minutes of gameplay: enough to get excited for the full release.
Madshot: Road to Madness
The Madshot Road to Madness demo will throw awesome acrobatic rogue-like shooting action with unlockable weapons, ultimate abilities, and sidearms with around 150 upgrades at your disposal and cackle with glee as you mow down hordes of enemies.
Standing proud as the lone spin-off of the rogue-like shoot-em-up “Madshot”, the new title chooses the adrenaline-fueled, back-flipping path to immortality.
Chtulu has captured the protagonist’s city and you’ll be the one to face monsters and multi-phased bosses in a bid to save everyone from certain doom.
The perilous trek through the Madshot: Road to Madness’ procedurally-generated world will be made that much more fun with the addition of endless upgrade combinations and acrobatic fighting skills
The Magical Mixture Mill
The Mill’s whimsical demo will see its players mix plenty of potions, enjoy a fully playable biome, gather tools using abilities, choose from a selection of essence and mixture types, and toil away at workstations to brew up a storm.
Potion enthusiasts are sure to flock to the whimsical world of The Magical Mixture Mill and immediately get to work trying to get “Griselda’s Magical Mixtures” shop back to its former glory.
This won’t be a one-cauldron type of an affair, however, as the players will get to control automated production lines, meet quirky characters and gather fresh ingredients to improve their recipes.
