With the colder weather, there must always come a bevy of holiday-themed events. Halloween always has the honor of breaking the ice and with that event over and done with, we can look forward to the scrumptiousness that is Thanksgiving.

Overwatch 2 is celebrating the giving of thanks by presenting the players with a highlight intro, doubling up their XP, and holding a Black Friday sale, as our forefathers have done.

Overwatch 2 login rewards – Thanksgiving event

Highlight intros are some of the best vehicles for the devs to convey their hero’s personality and charm. These snippets are played at the beginning of every Play of the Game as well as Highlight videos, and Overwatch 2 players can now scoop up two of them for Junker Queen and Kiriko in exchange for $0.00.

All you have to do is log into Overwatch 2 between now and November 26, 2022, to get Junker Queen’s “Five Fingers” intro. After that, the players will have from November 27 until December 1 to claim Kiriko’s “On The Wind” highlight.

Overwatch 2 – double XP weekend

Leveling up your Battle Pass is now the name of the Overwatch 2 game, and a double XP weekend has always been a special time for the players. Jump into a match from November 24, until November 28, 2022, to get double points for all games played – regardless of the outcome. Take note that this is also the final double XP weekend for Overwatch 2’s Season 1.

For those of you who’ve purchased the Premium Battle Pass and haven’t maxed it out yet: now’s your chance.

Twitch drops and the Black Friday Sale

In the spirit of transparency and giving you all the available information, we must inform you that there are now enabled Twitch drops for Overwatch 2.

Jumping onto a stream hosted by your favorite personality (make sure the stream is about Overwatch 2) and watching it for three hours will net you the Lion’s Pride Mug souvenir. Watching for two additional hours will make you the owner of the Mitzi weapon charm.
