Game imitating life.

The latest update to drop for The Sims 4 was more geared towards the console but the inclusivity goodies are available on all platforms! We got a new Medical Wearables category, Body Scars, Binders, and Shapewear in Create a Sim. The Build Mode wasn’t forgotten about either, and we got a Light Switch.

All newly-added assets are strictly visual and don’t add a gameplay functionality.

Medical Wearables

Find the new Medical Wearables category under Body and Face Accessories in Create a Sim.

Selecting your Sim’s face, and then Accessories will lead you to the Medical Wearables category which offers a new hearing aid for Toddler-age Sims and older. The wearable comes in 15 different colors and can be applied to the Sim’s left, right, or both ears.

You can also find the Medical Wearables category by selecting the Sim’s body and selecting Body Category. This will grant you access to Glucose Monitors for Child and older Sims. The Monitor can be added to a Sim’s right or left arm, and to either side of their lower abdomen.

Top Surgery Scar

Stay in the Body category to find the Body Scars sub-category. Here, you can add Top Surgery Scars to your male Sims, Teen and older. The Scars can be added to male Sims with both masculine and feminine frames.

Binders and Shapewear

Visit the Tanks > Tops category in Create a Sim to find a Binder top for the Teen and older Sims. Head on over to the Underwear category for Bottoms to find an additional shapewear item.

The Light Switch

Finally, we have an addition to the Build Mode, in the form of the humble light switch with a terrifying description.

The Unswitchable Switch in The Sims 4

The Sims 4’s latest update also brought some quality-of-life improvements and bug fixes.
